Nancy Patulski's anthology is a collection of seventeen stories and nine poems written for children of around seven years of age for as long as they still enjoy reading them.
The stories are set in real situations and Nancy pulls no punches; the characters become real people as they live each moment and reflect on events.
Siblings, parents, grandparents, neighbours, teachers, uncles, aunties, pets, friends and foes. Serious issues, light hearted events, emotions running high and low; there's anger, love, loyalty, laughter, disappointment and tears.
These stories really have something in them for every child. The illustrations are gob smackingly beautiful. It's a rare and lovely package. Lou
